I give a lot of advice that essentially boils down to just sit down and write.
But how does one do that, exactly?
I’m putting aside, for the purposes of this post, the issue of what to write. This is an issue I address extensively in my actual book on how to write a novel, I Look Like This Because I’m A Writer. Here, I’m just breaking down the nuts and bolts and so let’s assume, for the sake of simplicity, that you already have an idea for a novel swimming around in your head.
